This was recorded long after Kay Kyser retired and got out of show biz. They got Stan Frieberg to imitate the Ol' Professor's spoken introductions at the beginning of some of the songs. Harry, Ginny, Ish, Sully, Trudy Erwin and Gloria Wood all recreate their enjoyable vocals, but Ish sounds a bit hoarse/5(4).

Strip Polka: B5: Pushin' Sand: B6: Thinking Of You: Companies, etc. The greatest hits of Kay Kyser re-recorded with the original gang. The back cover notes include a mention that Kay Kyser's speaking voice, introducing the songs, is actually an imitation done by Stan Freberg. Kay Kyser's old gang, including Harry Babbitt, Ginny Simms, and Ish Kabibble, got together to re-record a dozen of their old songs in for this so-called greatest-hits album for Capitol Records. Kyser had retired from the music business years earlier, so comedian Stan Freberg impersonated Kyser for the musical introductions. Kyser recorded many novelty songs in his day, such as "Three.
